Q. How long do I need to wait before walking on my cleaned carpet?

A. Though it will take approximately 4-6 hours for your newly cleaned carpets to thoroughly dry, you may walk on the carpet immediately. We do encourage you to use minimal traffic and also consider walking with slippers or even barefoot. If weather permits, you may want to consider opening windows for air to circulate so that your drying time is reduced and that your carpets can dry evenly.

Q. Why are stain protectors so important?

A. Even if your carpet was manufactured with a stain protector normal wear and tear of your carpet, along with cleaning, removes this protection from the fibers. If these protectors are not routinely reapplied, the effectiveness of your protectors will diminish and soon affect the integrity of the carpet fibers.

Q. Why did the color of my grout turn darker?

A. If new tile has not been properly sealed at the time it is installed, the grout of the flooring is actually made up of cement and is extremely porous. When cleaned improperly, dirt and other liquids become trapped within the pores and stain the grout. These stains will turn the grout spotty and dark.

Q. Why can't I clean my grout myself?

A. Professional tile and grout cleaners have been thoroughly trained and often certified by the IICRC to properly handle the equipment and chemicals needed to clean grout. The use of acidic and alkaline chemicals along with highly pressured hot water provide for the intensive cleaning your tile deserves in able to maintain the beauty and luster your floor had when originally installed.

Q. How does Dupont Teflon Carpet Protection help my carpet?

A. Dupont Teflon Carpet Protection helps your carpet in two ways:

  1. When the protective coating is applied to the carpet it puts a protective barrier around each fiber of the carpet. This protective barrier is specially designed to resist moistures which your carpet may endure. Should you have a spill, you actually have a time window to clean the spill before damage occurs.
  2. The second way Dupont Teflon Carpet Protection benefits your carpet is by adding a protective barrier against daily wear and tear. It will also protect the carpet against matting and premature aging.

Q. How is the grout sealer applied?

A. The first step is to thoroughly clean the tile by neutralizing and completely drying. The second step is to apply the sealer and allow the sealer to dry. Excess sealer will evaporate.

Q. Once my tile has been cleaned, will I need to have it cleaned again?

A. Yes. We are happy to provide routine maintenance cleaning and re-sealing to keep your floors in top condition. The frequency will depend on the amount of traffic on them. Sealers make maintaining your floors much easier and more effective, yet not maintenance free.
